About GUINDY 1975 TRUST

GUINDY 1975 TRUST was formed in 2011 by a few Engineers from the 1975 batch of
College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai-600025. 

• The primary objective of the Trust is to provide educational support to students from economically less privileged background,  ensure they get every opportunity to realise their full potential and consequently  improve  economic status of their families. 

• As a non-profit organisation, Trust members voluntarily contribute their time, money and effort towards acheiving the goals. Donors have also  played  a crucial role in the Trust's  growth.

• This is seen as a means for members of GUINDY 1975 TRUST and the donors to give back to the society , a value that all of us would like to share.

At a glimpse what's been done till 2019......, 

• We have helped Fifty Six students financially throughout their student days at University. 

• Twenty Seven of them have successfully completed their chosen courses. ( Medicine -1; Engineering  – 24,  Arts & Science – 2) 

• Twenty Two students have found their jobs  in reputed corporate companies and have made a difference to their families. 

• Twenty four students (Engineering -13; Arts & Science -6, Medical Diploma – 5 ) are pursuing their studies.

• The purpose for which the Trust was set up has been realised, but then it's one continuing journey. Let's join hands to educate more for prosperity. 

• Donations to GUINDY 1975 TRUST are exempt from Income tax under 80G of Income Tax Act.
